About the event
A victory for freedom anywhere is a cause for celebration everywhere. Juneteenth is also known as Jubilation Day, Freedom Day, and Emancipation Day and has been celebrated in various states since 1865 recognizing celebrates the liberation of enslaved people from Texas, who were thought to be the last people to be freed by Union soldiers after the American Civil War.
On June 19, 2021, Juneteenth was finally recognized as a national holiday and we look forward to celebrating with you.
